Vivat, Activision!
Today was the release of one of the most high-profile games of the fall, and possibly the year. Of course, we are talking about Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. Most critics have already appreciated the new part of the call for honor and formed their own opinion about it.
Looking ahead, I would like to say that most reviewers agreed that Activision, together with Treyarch and Raven Software, managed to release a quality game. On Metacritic, Cold War received 86 points for the PS5 version and 83 for the PS4 version, and on OpenCritic the game was rated 85 out of 100 and in 90% of cases is recommended for passing.
In general, critics liked the new mechanics, but mostly praise the "cross-level" moments. As IGN writes, "Black Ops Cold War excels at making calm moments a defining part of the gaming experience, not just taking a deep breath between loud and explosive scenes." Anyone can evaluate the game independently on any platform, including Xbox Series and PS5.
