Jim Ryan, head of Sony Interactive Entertainment Worldwide, spoke about this in an interview with Reuters. It is not the first time that Sony has announced its readiness to take over other studios in order to strengthen its position in the international market.
Sony also plans to increase the number of exclusives produced for Sony Playstation. It will be produced through the development of video games from internal studios, including those that have been bought, acquired, or merged.

Sign UpAs a reminder, Insomniac Games, the creator of Marvel's Spider-Man and Ratchet and Clank, is the latest game studio to be acquired by Sony. It was ranked 14th on the PlayStation Studios Alliance List.
