Silent and hot: Digital Foundry tests Xbox Series X

Based on tests conducted, Digital Foundry concluded that the Xbox Series X will heat up well, but remain quiet. The test results were posted on the Eurogamer gaming portal.

Based on what Digital Foundry said in their review, it makes little sense to measure the noise level of the new Xbox as the console blends in with the overall noise level in the room. In a typical home or office environment, Xbox Series X is nearly impossible to hear.

The other side of the coin was reflected in the temperature of the Xbox. The maximum temperature, which was recorded by experts, reached 62 degrees Celsius. Despite this, the case is not hot, as users who are familiar with the test results might think, but just warm. The temperature, although high, is not critical at all, and when compared with what can be found on gaming computers, the result can be called very good.

In contrast to the heat, Microsoft has equipped the Xbox Series X with a good cooling system. However, Digital Foundry recommends placing the console in an upright position rather than horizontally. In this case, the air comes out of the console well and the hot streams come out more efficiently than in a horizontal position.

Xbox Series X/S should go on sale November 10 worldwide. The older model will sell for $ 499, while the younger one will please its owners with a price tag of $ 299.
