Lords of the Fallen II Developers Secure €28.6 Million to Finish and Launch the Game

CI Games has announced a €28.6 million credit facility for the launch of Lords of the Fallen II. The loan comes from two Polish banks, Erste Bank Polska and Bank Ochrony Środowiska. The money fully covers the rest of development, the global marketing campaign, and the game’s launch, which is planned for Q1 2027.

Part of the funds will also go toward refinancing all of the company’s existing bank debt. KUKE, the Polish export credit agency, guarantees 80% of the loan. The facility matures in August 2027 and will be repaid mainly from Lords of the Fallen II sales.

CI Games President Marek Tymiński pointed out that the company secured the money without issuing new shares:

“We have secured full financing for the launch of Lords of the Fallen II without issuing new shares. That matters for our shareholders, who keep their full participation in the game’s potential success. The banks’ confidence confirms the quality of our project and its commercial potential.”

Tymiński is also CI Games’ largest shareholder, and he has committed to holding all of his shares for the full term of the loan. He says he knows how much potential Lords of the Fallen II has.

CI Games is already preparing the next stage of its promotional campaign:

• Early next week, the studio will release a new episode of its “Lifting the Veil” series featuring members of the Launch Creative Team, a group recruited from the soulslike community.
• In December 2026, the company will announce the exact release date and kick off the main marketing campaign.

Lords of the Fallen II is the sequel to 2023’s Lords of the Fallen. The first game sold more than 2.5 million copies and reached over 8 million players across PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. The sequel was originally set for fall 2026, but in June CI Games pushed it to early 2027 to avoid competing with other big releases during the holiday season.
