GTA 6 Launch Trailer Recreated in GTA 5, Showcasing the Difference in Graphics and Level of Detail

Rockstar Games has already released quite a few official trailers for GTA 6—enough to see just how far the game has come graphically compared to Red Dead Redemption 2 and, especially, compared to the fifth installment of Grand Theft Auto, which came out more than 13 years ago. And a recent comparison with the new GTA 6 trailer is yet another confirmation of this.

User TheGameVerse posted a one-minute comparison of the recent GTA 6 trailer, timed to coincide with the game's launch, with similarly shot footage from GTA 5—including the most comparable camera angles. The video clearly demonstrates how much the sixth installment surpasses the 13-year-old game in terms of detail, graphics, lighting, and more, as you can check out below:

Recently, a launch trailer for GTA 6 has also started appearing on TV, but it’s slightly different from the one Rockstar released. Specifically, the clip doesn’t include the scenes of Jason and Lucia in the shower, but other scenes are a few seconds longer.

Grand Theft Auto VI launches in one month, on November 19, on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. Rockstar hasn’t announced a PC version yet, but a recent report claims the game will come to the platform in the first quarter of 2027. You can also check out which project might be next for Rockstar Games after it.
