GTA 6 Sales Reportedly Surpassed 6-Million-Copy Mark

Fans expect that GTA 6, given the anticipation and hype surrounding the game, will achieve incredible financial results. And according to recent calculations, the game has already sold a substantial number of copies, even though there is still more than a month left until its release.

According to a new Sensor Tower research, GTA 6 has already sold more than 6 million copies, generating nearly $600 million in revenue. As the report shows, 74% of these sales are on PlayStation (4.51 million) and 26% on Xbox (1.57 million). However, it’s worth noting these are not official figures from Rockstar or Take-Two, so the actual numbers may vary slightly.

Sensor Tower has released its latest weekly GTA 6 Sales Tracker update, estimating that GTA VI picked up an additional 330,000 pre-orders in the past week taking the total over 6 million.

The estimated platform split has PlayStation with 74% of sales and XBOX with 26%.

Over the past few hours, GTA 6 has received a couple of important updates. First, Bloomberg's Jason Schreier published a new, in-depth article about the game, in which he discussed its development and revealed additional details. Furthermore, hacker Cyberleek released a new gameplay leak and confirmed that it contains footage from the ending of GTA 6. He also announced that he would stop releasing new gameplay leaks “for now.”

Grand Theft Auto VI will release on November 19 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
