One-Punch Man Season 3 Part 2 to Premiere in January 2027

The official One-Punch Man anime website has announced that the second part of the third season will premiere in January 2027. Along with the announcement, the first trailer, a new key visual, and the opening theme were released, but an exact release date has not been revealed yet.

Judging by the trailer, the second part will continue the Monster Association arc and bring viewers closer to the long-awaited clash between Saitama and Garou. The trailer shows most of the S-Class heroes being defeated by monsters.

The new key visual also features the key characters of the final part of the Monster Association arc. At the center of the composition is Garou in his monster form, with Monster Association leader Psykos above him. The visual also includes Tatsumaki, Genos, and Saitama, who is running alongside Flashy Flash. The visual comes with the caption “The Strongest vs. the Most Feared. The Showdown,” hinting at the final battle between Saitama and Garou.

As with the second season, the third season is being produced by J.C.Staff. Shinpei Nagai is directing the season, while Tomohiro Suzuki returns as series composer. Makoto Miyazaki is composing the music, and Chikashi Kubota is handling character designs alongside Shinjiro Kuroda and Ryosuke Shirakawa. Makoto Furukawa returns to voice Saitama, Kaito Ishikawa voices Genos, and Hikaru Midorikawa voices Garou.

The first part of the third season aired from October 12 to December 29, 2025, and consisted of 12 episodes, but fans gave it a very cold reception. Viewers criticized the premiere episode for being dialogue-heavy and full of recaps, and the following episodes for low-quality animation and an excessive number of static shots. Episode 6, Motley Heroes, even received the lowest IMDb user rating of any anime, at 1.6. Due to a wave of online harassment, director Shinpei Nagai was forced to deactivate his social media accounts.
