Nintendo Teases GTA 6 Might Be Released on Switch 2

At launch, GTA 6 will be available on just two platforms: PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. Rumors about a PC version are already circulating, and fans are sure it will arrive within a year or so. Speculation about a Switch 2 version also continues, and Nintendo itself has now added fuel to it.

Devon Pritchard, president of Nintendo of America, recently told Variety that the possibility of GTA 6 releasing on Switch 2 definitely exists, since the console has proven it can run demanding games, including Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered. But she also added the decision rests with Rockstar Games and Take-Two Interactive, as you can check out below:

Will GTA 6 come to Switch 2? Nintendo says to ask Rockstar.

Nintendo of America president Devon Pritchard was asked if GTA 6 could come to the Switch 2.

She said the decision is up to Rockstar and Take-Two, adding that there is nothing to announce right now.

The game could be difficult to run on Nintendo’s hardware, but it’s too early to say if a port is possible.

Meanwhile, former Rockstar developer Jérémy Hartvick, in a recent interview with Reece "Kiwi Talkz" Reilly, stated a Switch 2 release makes little sense in terms of GTA 6. Given the scale of the game he worked on until 2020, a port would be lacking and wouldn’t match the quality of the PS5 and Xbox Series X versions. But he did admit the idea could work through cloud technology.

As for GTA 6 itself, Rockstar shared new details about the in-game radio stations this week, along with several new screenshots. Hacker Cyberleek also returned with over 20 minutes of leaked gameplay, which shows a fully nude Jason and a semi-nude Lucia. The footage also appears to confirm a first-person mode in the game.

Grand Theft Auto VI will release on November 19 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
