GTA 6 Collaboration Confirmed with a Basketball Team, Miami Heat

At this point, it’s safe to say the GTA 6 marketing campaign is in high gear—if not yet at full speed, then certainly much more active than it was, say, this past summer. This is accompanied by both regular releases of new screenshots and game details, as well as upcoming collaborations, some of which seem quite unusual.

Reports have emerged that on November 18—one day before the release of GTA 6 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S—the Miami Heat basketball team, representing the city that served as the inspiration for Vice City, will take the court in a special game-inspired uniform. On that day, the team will face the Milwaukee Bucks at the Kaseya Center in Miami, and it’s also reported that the arena will be decorated in the style of the game, with various special entertainment activities planned for spectators. More information will likely be released soon—in the meantime, preliminary details can be found in a special section on the official NBA website.

Rockstar Games is officially teaming up with the Miami HEAT for a special “Night in Vice City” on November 18 at the Kaseya Center.

The HEAT will temporarily rebrand as Vice City and face the Milwaukee Bucks, featuring:

• An all-new Vice City uniform
• A special hardwood court built for the game
• Unique Vice City-themed game-night activations
• Special activities inside Kaseya Center starting on opening night

A new Vice City collection of apparel is also available on HEAT’s website: http://HEAT.com/ViceCity

This isn't the first time GTA 6 has collaborated with this sport. Previously, the NBA 2K27 trailer appeared to confirm a crossover between the two games as part of Season 3. It will also be interesting to see if the GTA 6 collaboration extends to another sports team from the same city—Inter Miami, which features one of the greatest footballers in history, Lionel Messi. So far, no details have been reported, but it would be a truly massive event.

Today, the French magazine Love also shared some new GTA 6 screenshots and revealed a few details about the game’s main characters, Jason and Lucia. Additionally, Rockstar Games recently officially confirmed GTA 6 will receive a Mature (17+) rating for scenes of violence, strong language, nudity, sexual content, and more. Grand Theft Auto VI is scheduled for release on November 19 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
