Ubisoft Postponed Rayman Legends Retold – Remake Will Now Release In December

Ubisoft has announced yet another delay for one of its projects. The game in question is Rayman Legends Retold —a remake of the original 2013 game, which was announced this summer during State of Play. However, the delay is not significant, and the game is still scheduled for release in 2026.

On its social media, the studio confirmed Rayman Legends Retold has already gone gold, but the developers need additional time to polish all the necessary details. Instead of October 1, the game’s release will now take place two months later—on December 3. Rayman Legends Retold will also receive a new trailer next week, and the gaming press will share their first impressions. You can check out Ubisoft’s full statement below:

Hello Rayman fans,

Rayman Legends Retold will release on December 3.

While the game has officially gone gold, we have decided to take extra time to make sure every detail gets the care it deserves.

In the meantime, we can’t wait for you to see what we’ve been working on, starting with a Game Overview trailer on September 22. That same day, a selection of creators and press will share fresh hands-on impressions.

Like the original, Rayman Legends Retold is a cooperative platformer, but Ubisoft has also added quite a few new features. One of the most notable is the 3D environment and character models, and there are also modern visual effects, including volumetric lighting, improved textures, and support for 60 FPS. Rayman Legends Retold will also feature a new villain, a new dimension, and four new music levels—one of which will be the legendary "Macarena," as revealed in August at Gamescom.

The game is confirmed to release on December 3 for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch 2.
