Marvel's Spider-Man remaster Peter Parker gets a new face
After switching to PlayStation 5, Peter's face had to be replaced to ensure the best remaster experience for players, according to James Stevenson, director of community work at Insomniac Games. Previously, the prototype for Spider-Man's appearance was John Bubnyak, now Insomniac is working with Ben Jordan.
This innovation, although it looks good, was perceived by the community rather negatively. Most of the players noted the similarity in appearance with Tom Holland, others said that Peter's appearance from the PS4 version was reference, and still others say that the new Peter looks too young and may well give odds to Miles Morales, who is younger than the main character in the plot. At the time of publication of the news, the number of views of the trailer exceeded 240,000, collecting 3,500+ likes and 7,200+ dislikes. Some gamers are hoping that the developers will return Peter's previous face.
Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales will be released on November 19 and will be included in the PlayStation 5 launch lineup. Players who tried the original on the PlayStation 4 will be able to transfer their saves and achievements to the new game. The remaster of Marvel's Spider-Man will only be available to users who have purchased the Ultimate version of the new part.
