1001 Threads of Mizan Announced at Gamescom 2026 – Promising Co-Op Action with Flying Carpets and Giant Creatures

One of the most impressive announcements at Opening Night Live came from MBC Game Studio, a studio based in Saudi Arabia. They unveiled their debut project, 1001 Threads of Mizan, which looks extremely intriguing.

1001 Threads of Mizan is a three-player co-op action-adventure game set in the Middle East, though it also includes mystical elements. The main characters of 1001 Threads of Mizan are three completely different characters: Yusra (an archer), Sufyan (a sword-wielding pirate), and Malik (a heavy warrior). Additionally, the developers revealed further information about the game on their official website. Specifically, MBC Game Studio confirmed cross-platform play as well as the option to play solo—though the focus is made specifically on co-op experience. 1001 Threads of Mizan is in development for PC (Steam, Epic Games Store), Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch 2. The release date is currently unknown.
