Focus Interactive Will Serve as Publisher of CLUTCH, New Racing Game from Maverick Games

One of the most anticipated racing games that will be released within the next year is CLUTCH—a new game from Maverick Games, a team of former developers who previously worked on Forza Horizon. A recent announcement has confirmed that the game has secured a well-known publisher.

On its social media, Focus Entertainment – the publisher of games such as John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando, Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, Aliens: Dark Descent, and Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy, which is coming out this week – has announced that it will be publishing the CLUTCH. Initially, Amazon Games Studios was set to be the publisher of CLUTCH, but this spring Maverick Games confirmed that this would not be the case. As for the game itself, CLUTCH was fully unveiled this summer during Summer Game Fest. The game is described as a “cinematic, open-world, action-driving experience” and is taking place on the French Riviera. CLUTCH places a strong emphasis on its narrative. The game’s main characters are a brother and sister, Theo and Cass Martial, who are trying to become top-class racers through elite R1K races but also take part in illegal street races organized by the Midnight Collective. Additionally, players can look forward to detailed car customization, over 150 different cars, multiplayer, and much more. Journalists also had the chance to try out an early version of CLUTCH, which has received rave reviews and is perhaps the most ambitious upcoming racing project at the moment.

CLUTCH will release next spring for PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5. The exact release date is currently unknown.
