Caravan SandWitch Has Become the Latest Free Game Available on Epic Games Store

The Epic Games Store has launched its latest free game giveaway, as it does every week. It has been announced that the new free game you can add to your library this week is Caravan SandWitch – but that’s by no means the only free game available to players this week.

Developed by Studio Plane Toast and released in 2024 by Dear Villagers, Caravan SandWitch is a relaxing adventure game in which you must find the main character’s sister on the planet called Cigalo. You can explore the vast expanses on foot or by using transport, help the residents, and not worry about anyone bothering you – the game has no health system or even a combat system. You can add Caravan SandWitch to your EGS library for free until August 20 – after which, as announced, the giveaway of two new games will kick off: Cardpocalypse Standard Edition and the Epic Mage Bundle for Albion Online.

However, this is not the only free game currently available to players. It has been confirmed that Steam users can now add Deponia to their library for free —a game from Daedalic Entertainment released in 2012, which has received overwhelmingly positive reviews. The game tells the story of Rufus, a resident of an unusual planet that doubles as a rubbish tip. Deponia is a point-and-click adventure, and its plot centers on Rufus’s desire to change his life and reach the floating city of Elysium, but fate brings him together with a girl named Goal—after which his life begins to change.

Both games—Caravan SandWitch on EGS and Deponia on Steam—are available for free until August 20.
