Elden Ring Movie Has Wrapped Filming—Premiere Set for March 3, 2028

There are currently several film and TV adaptations of video games in development, such as God of War, The Legend of Zelda, Street Fighter, and more. It's now been announced that filming for one of these projects has officially wrapped.

As reported by IGN, citing a now-deleted Instagram post from prop maker Sean Schofield, filming on the Elden Ring adaptation has officially finished. In the photo marking the end of the shoot, director Alex Garland, along with producers Allon Reich, Matthew Penry-Davey, Peter Rice, Andrew Macdonald, and Charlie Reed, thanked the cast and everyone involved in the project for their work. “Dear cast and crew, thank you for your incredibly hard work on Elden Ring. Your skill, dedication, and all-round professionalism were integral in bringing this unique project to life. We wish you a well-earned rest. Thank you and very best wishes, Alex, Allon, Matthew, Peter, Andrew and Charlie.”

Now that filming has wrapped, the movie is expected to move into post-production, where the focus will shift to editing and visual effects. Footage from the shooting had already surfaced earlier, and fans noticed a location resembling the Royal City of Leyndell from the original game, along with plenty of other references. The cast of Elden Ring includes Kit Connor, Ben Whishaw, Cailee Spaeny, Tom Burke, Havana Rose Liu, Sonoya Mizuno, and more. Details on who's playing what remain unknown for now.

The premiere of the live-action Elden Ring movie is set for March 3, 2028.
