OTXO and Sol Cesto Are Now Available for Free On Epic Games Store

The Epic Games Store has launched its latest free games giveaway, which will last until next Thursday (August 6), and as part of which you can add two games – OXTO and Sol Cesto – to your library.

Developed by Lateralis Heavy Industries and released in 2023, OTXO follows a hero searching for his girlfriend through a surreal world. It’s a fast top-down shooter in the vein of Hotline Miami, with roguelite elements mixed in. Except using weapons, in OXTO, you can also slow time to defeat your enemies.

Sol Cesto, developed by both Goblinz Publishing and Maple Whispering Limited, was released last year; it’s a tactical roguelite with turn-based dungeon-crawling elements, following heroes searching for the missing Sun. Levels are made up of 4x4 tile grids, where players can find items and run into enemies. The game also features seven unique heroes, each with their own set of abilities.

It has also been announced which games will be available for free next week. The first is Beacon Pines from Fellow Traveller—a game styled like a book, in which you simultaneously control a fox named Luka and take on the role of the reader. You will need to collect words to change the course of the story and uncover the dark secrets of Beacon Pines city.

The second game is the better-known one—We Were Here Together from Total Mayhem Games. It’s a co-op adventure with a focus on puzzle-solving and communication via walkie-talkie, in which you and a friend must escape from Castle Rock. Both games will be available next week, from August 6 to 13.

The current Epic Games Store giveaway, featuring OXTO and Sol Cesto, is available now and will continue until August 6, 6:00 PM.
