POINPY Returns to Mobile as Devolver Digital Launches the Platformer on Android and iOS
Devolver Digital has officially releasedPOINPY on Android and iOS, bringing the acclaimed vertical platformer back to mobile devices. Created by Ojiro Fumoto (Moppin), the developer behind Downwell, the game was previously available exclusively through Netflix Games before being removed from the subscription service.
POINPY is a vertical-scrolling 2D platformer where players climb through procedurally generated caves while collecting fruit and avoiding a creature pursuing them from below. Gathered fruit is used to create juice that feeds the monster, adding a light survival element to the fast-paced climbing gameplay.
The game features simple one-handed controls, allowing players to jump between platforms, perform aerial flips, and collect fruit while navigating increasingly challenging environments. During each run, players can obtain power-ups such as Octobub, which attracts nearby fruit, and Snail Clock, which temporarily freezes time.
Beyond the main campaign, POINPY includes hidden areas that unlock Puzzle Mode, while completing the game grants access to Endless Mode, offering additional replayability.
POINPY is now available on the Google Play Store and App Store, marking its return to mobile following its previous Netflix Games exclusivity. The release comes as the mobile gaming market continues to expand with new titles, including the recently announced DCKO, Warner Bros.' upcoming DC fighting game scheduled to launch in 2027.
