Pearl Abyss Released New Update for Crimson Desert - Patch Notes Version 1.14.00
Pearl Abyss released a new update for Crimson Desert—Patch Notes Version 1.14.00—with the main highlight being a new cross-save feature. It lets players carry their progress across different platforms without losing anything. Alongside that, the developers rolled out several new improvements.
Among the improvements, Patch Notes Version 1.14.00 includes several fixes related to quests and gameplay, as well as localization corrections. Below, you can check out the main features of the update, as outlined in the studio's statement.
Fellow Greymanes, Here are the fixes and improvements that have been added this patch.
This patch adds a cross-save feature, as well as various bug fixes and stability improvements.
New Additions:
- Added a cross-save feature. It is available on PlayStation, XBOX, Steam, and Epic Games Store. Cross-save allows you to continue your progress using a single save file.
Main Improvements:
- Fixed an issue where the quest "A Dwarf's Concern" could not be completed.
- Fixed an issue where the character could not be controlled when a pet jumped onto the bed while the player was interacting with it.
- "Skystep" now uses the same control input as Oongka's "Vertical Flight,"
- Fixed an issue where "Aerial Force Palm" would be interrupted while free-falling.
- Fixed various localization errors and improved localization quality across all languages.
- Fixed an issue where the motion of a character on a mount could appear unnatural when the mount was moving at high speed in certain situations.
- Fixed an issue where sound effects would not play after the battle with Praevus the Ancient.
- Fixed an issue where sound effects for "Ator's Orb" would continue to play even after the orb had disappeared.
- Fixed an issue where NPCs could not pass through open wooden gates.
Compared to previous Crimson Desert updates, Patch Notes Version 1.14.00 doesn't feel like a huge one, since it doesn't add any new gameplay features. Still, the studio has confirmed it'll keep releasing free updates for the game, and the next patch is likely to bring a wider range of additions for players.
In a recent interview, Pearl Abyss CEO Huh Jin-young also confirmed the developers are actively working on the previously announced Crimson Desert DLC. He also added that the studio has begun work on a Switch 2 version of the game, too, and didn't rule out a multiplayer mode down the line, either, saying, "There is room for a multiplayer mode in that process."
Meanwhile, it was recently confirmed that Crimson Desert will be featured at Gamescom 2026, taking place next month in Germany. During the event, the developers will give an in-depth look at the game's development process. The game and Patch Notes Version 1.14.00 are now available on PC, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and Mac.
