Where to Learn Crossbow Skill in Gothic 1 Remake

While you can find a bow trainer almost at the very beginning of Gothic 1 Remake, learning to use crossbows is much more difficult.

The only dedicated crossbow trainer in the game is Scorpio from the Old Camp. He will teach you if you join Gomez's faction and gain access to the castle.

If you choose a different camp, you'll have to wait until Chapter 4. At that point, Scorpio moves to Cavalorn's hut, where he becomes available as a crossbow trainer regardless of which faction you've joined.

We previously coveredhow to unlock two-handed weapon training in Gothic 1 Remake, and that system isn't exactly straightforward either.

It means that if you're playing a build focused on one-handed weapons and bows, progression is relatively smooth. But if your goal is to use two-handed weapons and crossbows, things become much more complicated due to how the trainers are unlocked.

At least in the current version of the game, this creates what feels like a clear balance issue between different character builds.
