New Images of Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced Cosmetic DLC Revealed by Insider

This week marks the release of one of the most anticipated, if not the most anticipated, video game remakes of 2026—Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced. In addition to the enhanced graphics and a fully seamless open world, Ubisoft has developed a portion of new content that wasn’t in the original title. This new content will expand the storylines of key characters, such as Blackbeard and Stede Bonnet, and introduce new crew members to Edward Kenway’s ship team.

Another key difference between Black Flag Resynced and 2013’s original title is that the remake will focus entirely on the story about the abovementioned main character. Ubisoft has previously confirmed that the remake will not include DLC about Adewale, Freedom Cry, or the multiplayer mode. However, last month a leak revealed possible cosmetic DLC for Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced, offering a first look at the unusual outfit for Edward Kenway. And now, another insider has seemingly shared more costume options for the protagonist.

On his X page, the franchise’s well-known insider, xj0nathan, who previously shared details about the future of Assassin's Creed, revealed that he has already gained early access to Black Flag Resynced. Additionally, somehow, he managed to get new suits for Edward Kenway from one of the upcoming game expansions. As the insider joked, he was thrilled by "new ultra-realistic costumes" as you can see below:

I really like these new ultra-realistic costumes in the Black Flag remake. I'm pretending to like them; otherwise, people will say I'm complaining again.

As for xj0nathan’s impressions of Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced, although he hasn't shared specific details, in another tweet, an insider mentioned that the remake’s combat system is much worse than in the original game—though earlier reviews suggested most players enjoyed that aspect. Nevertheless, the release is just around the corner, and later this week everyone will have the chance to experience Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced for themselves.
