Insider Confirmed Capcom Is Developing Devil May Cry Remake

In recent years, Capcom has released several remakes of their classic Resident Evil titles, successfully bringing back longtime fans while also attracting new audiences. Judging by the fact that the franchise outperformed all other projects in sales over the past year, they show no intention of slowing down. The announcement of Resident Evil Veronica—a remake of the original 2000 game, Code Veronica—serves as proof of this commitment.

Nevertheless, the studio also has other game series worthy of receiving updated versions, and one of these is Devil May Cry. Earlier this month, there were rumors that a remake of the first installment would be announced at State of Play, but that didn't happen. However, insider MajorPlayeix has now confirmed in a new report that the Devil May Cry remake is indeed in development, as you can check out below:

In a subsequent post on X, the insider also confirmed earlier rumors about remakes of Resident Evil Zero and the original first installment. Furthermore, they stated that Capcom is interested in reviving its classic franchises and is likely working on Ace Attorney 7 as well as a new project set in the Mega Man universe.
