KRAFTON’s Anime-Inspired MOBA Astro Arena Soft Launches on Mobile This July

KRAFTON has officially announced the soft launch of Astro Arena: 3vs3 Battle PvP, a new multiplayer online battle arena title arriving on Android and iOS on July 9, 2026. Developed by PUBG Studios, the game will initially launch in select regions, including India, Indonesia, Thailand, Taiwan, Mexico, Brazil, and the United States.

The title has already undergone several stages of development and testing. It originally appeared in India as TARASONA: Battle Royale during an early access phase in 2024 before being rebranded as Astro Arena and entering alpha testing in 2025. Mobile pre-registration is now officially open.

Fast-Paced 3v3 Battles Meet Anime-Inspired Heroes

Astro Arena combines traditional MOBA gameplay with roguelike progression systems and anime-inspired character designs.

Players can choose from a diverse roster of heroes, form teams with friends or matchmaking partners, and compete in fast-paced PvP matches designed to last around five minutes. During battles, heroes gain access to roguelike upgrades that can dramatically alter their abilities and playstyles, creating different strategies each match.

Each character features unique skills, ultimate abilities, visual effects, and cosmetic designs, helping create a distinct identity across the roster.

Multiple Game Modes Offer Varied Gameplay

Beyond standard arena battles, Astro Arena introduces several objective-based modes designed to keep gameplay fresh.

Among the featured modes are:

• EBR, where teams must survive and escape shrinking battle zones.
• DOM, focused on capturing and controlling objectives.
• CPM, which challenges players to escort valuable cargo while defending it from enemy attacks.

The variety of modes aims to provide different tactical experiences while maintaining the game's fast-paced structure.

New Hero Kaira Joins the Roster

One of the latest additions to Astro Arena is Kaira, a tank-class hero equipped with a distinctive winged shield.

Designed to absorb damage and protect teammates, Kaira is expected to play a key role in team compositions during the upcoming soft launch.

Mobile-Friendly Controls and Accessibility

Astro Arena has been designed to appeal to both MOBA veterans and newcomers. The game features multiple control options, including automatic targeting systems and fully manual controls, allowing players to choose their preferred playstyle.

Combined with vibrant anime-style visuals, team-based gameplay, and short match durations, the title aims to deliver a more accessible competitive experience on mobile devices.

Soft Launch Begins July 9

Astro Arena: 3vs3 Battle PvP will enter soft launch on July 9, 2026, across selected regions on Android and iOS. Players interested in joining the battlefield can already pre-register through the Google Play Store and Apple App Store ahead of launch.
