Silent Hill: Townfall Release Date and New Trailer Revealed at State of Play

Silent Hill: Townfall, the latest spin-off to the main franchise, developed by Screen Burn, was until recently one of the games without a precise release date. But now, this information is outdated, as the project was featured at PlayStation's State of Play event.

During the event, a new gameplay trailer for Silent Hill: Townfall was shown, and new details were revealed. But most importantly, the game will be released on September 24th. The new trailer for the game you can check out below:

Silent Hill: Townfall appears to be a highly unconventional project compared to other entries in the franchise, and this distinction extends beyond its Scottish setting. Diverging from the atmosphere typical of traditional horror, Townfall presents more as a psychological thriller, prioritizing an oppressive atmosphere and a state of mounting, persistent tension. However, given the success of last year's Silent Hill f—which also departed from the franchise's established conventions—the success of this new spin-off seems almost certain.

By the way, a few hours before State of Play, Silent Hill: Townfall received a Mature 17+ rating from the ESRB for blood, violence, and strong language.
