Hogwarts Legacy 2 Rumored to Be Officially Announced This Week at State of Play

There have already been multiple reports about the imminent announcement of Hogwarts Legacy 2, which is officially in development. Considering that recent rumors claimed the game would be released next year, it is most likely that only a few weeks remain before the game is shown.

A new rumor from insider Tidux hints that the official announcement of Hogwarts Legacy 2 could take place as early as this week. Moreover, it will be made as part of the upcoming PlayStation State of Play show, which is claimed to be scheduled for May 24. Nevertheless, for now, there is no official confirmation about holding a State of Play this week, so this report should be considered with a grain of salt.

The announcement of Hogwarts Legacy 2 at State of Play makes sense, since this is exactly how the original game was presented in 2020. At the moment, Avalanche Software has not confirmed any details of the game, but previous reports claimed that the game will feature Quidditch, the ability to travel to well-known locations in the Harry Potter lore - such as Privet Drive and Diagon Alley— as well as multiplayer elements. As for the game's plot, it may somehow be connected to the upcoming Harry Potter reboot series for HBO.
