Fortnite Expands Star Wars Content with New Player-Created Modes
Epic Games has announced three new Fortnite modes inspired by the Star Wars universe, launching on May 1. These experiences were developed by the community using the Unreal Editor, highlighting the growing role of player-created content in the game. The reveal was shared the official Fortnite account on X (Twitter).
New Star Wars Modes
The upcoming modes offer a variety of gameplay styles set within the iconic sci-fi universe:
- Galactic Siege lets players explore Star Wars planets and engage in large-scale battles with teams of up to ten players.
- Escape from Vader, drawing inspiration from Dead by Daylight, pits a group of four players against Darth Vader. Participants can take on the role of survivors trying to escape or step into the role of the Sith Lord hunting them down.
- Droid World introduces a tycoon-style experience focused on building and upgrading droids. Players will manage their own workshop, complete tasks, and unlock new blueprints to expand their operations.
Ongoing Events and Rewards
Throughout May, these modes will receive weekly updates with new missions and exclusive rewards, encouraging continued engagement.
On May 19, players will gain access to a 10-minute preview of the upcoming Mandalorian and Grogu film, accompanied by a message from director Jon Favreau. A follow-up interview discussing the film and its connection to Fortnite will be released on May 26.
In addition, the in-game store will be regularly updated with Star Wars-themed cosmetics, bringing even more content tied to the franchise during the event period.
