New Mafia Game Received Promising Update from Hangar 13 Developer
Hangar 13 is confirmed to be working on the next Mafia installment after the success of last year’s Mafia: The Old Country—the prequel to the entire game series, which exceeded Take-Two Interactive's expectations, who is the parent company of Hangar 13, from a financial standpoint. This gave the development team the green light to continue expanding the franchise.
It seems that development of the new Mafia game is already in full swing, and Hangar 13 will soon be welcoming another experienced employee. On her LinkedIn profile, Emily Grace Buck, who worked at DICE, Ubisoft, and Telltale Games in such positions as Narrative Director and Narrative Designer, and has worked on more than 20 projects, will join Hangar 13 in June as Narrative Director for the Mafia franchise. It looks like she will be in charge of the next mainline Mafia video game.

“I'm delighted to share that in June, I will be joining Take-Two's Hangar 13 Brighton studio to be the Narrative Director for the Mafia franchise!”
Speaking of Mafia game series expansions, there have been rumors that Hangar 13's next title will be the sequel to Mafia: The Old Country and set in Empire Bay of the 1920s-1930s. At the same time, Mafia 2 is also expected to receive a full remake version, which could potentially include new story and gameplay elements, similar to the remake of Mafia: The City of Lost Heaven—Mafia: The Definitive Edition that came out in 2020.
