Netflix’s The Witcher Will Include a Familiar Character from Blood and Wine DLC

Although the fans of the Witcher saga mostly don't care about Netflix’s TV series adaptation, especially when Henry Cavill has left the role of Geralt of Rivia, there is still another season to be released, which is confirmed to serve as its true ending.

The fifth season of The Witcher show wrapped filming last autumn, and it's currently in the post-production stage. And a new report from Redanian Intelligence reveals that in the show we will see Ellie Taylor (Ted Lasso, The Gentleman) playing Anna Henrietta, the Duchess of Toussaint.

The fans may know the character thanks to The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and specifically its DLC, Blood and Wine, where she plays a major role. But in the books, during the search for Ciri, Geralt stayed in Toussaint for a while, where his path crossed with Anna Henrietta’s. However, the details of her role in the show are currently unknown.

The fifth season of Witcher on Netflix also has Liam Hemsworth (Geralt of Rivia), Anya Chalotra (Yennefer of Vengerberg), Freya Allan (Ciri), Joey Batey (Jaskier), Laurence Fishburne (Regis), Eamon Farren (Cahir), Mahesh Jadu (Vilgefortz), Bart Edwards (Emhyr van Emreis), Meng’er Zhang (Milva), Mimi M. Khayisa (Fringilla), Anna Shaffer (Triss), and Sharlto Copley (Leo Bonhart).
