11 bit studios Announced New Title, Crop, Developed by Carbonara Games
During yesterday’s Triple-i Showcase 2026 presentation, 11 bit studios, the developers of This War of Mine and Frostpunk game series, announced their new project—Crop. Studio will serve as its publisher, while the game will be developed by Carbonara Games.
In Crop, you will play a character who finds themselves in a small, isolated village devastated by a storm. Your task is to manage a farm, grow food, and help the locals survive. The mechanics are somewhat reminiscent of This War of Mine, where you must allocate limited resources among several characters, but this time the developers promise a more detailed farming system, and the game will also feature supernatural forces and suspicious characters. Earlier this week, 11 bit studios also confirmed Frostpunk 2 will receive a new DLC this June—Breach of Trust—and the original game will be released on Nintendo Switch later this year. As for Crop, the game is currently announced for PC only, but it’s also being released on consoles. The release date is currently unknown, but currently the game is in alpha version; that means a potential release is likely to happen somewhere in 2027.
