Hades 2 Confirms April Release For PlayStation 5 And Xbox

Supergiant Games will release Hades 2 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X on April 14. The game will also arrive on Xbox Game Pass on the same day. This launch ends the period of console exclusivity for the title on Nintendo Switch 2, where the sequel originally debuted on September 25, 2025.

The upcoming versions will include all post-launch patches that Supergiant Games previously deployed for the PC and Nintendo Switch 2 editions. The developer is also including unspecified bonus content with this release, though specific details regarding the additions remain absent from the announcement.

I see the ambition in this project as Supergiant Games builds upon the framework of the original September 2020 game. The official description lists the player as the immortal Princess of the Underworld, tasked with exploring a deep mythic world and defeating the forces of the Titan of Time with the backing of Olympus.

The original game won multiple Game of the Year awards following its release, which occurred after an early access period starting in December 2018. Supergiant Games first announced this direct sequel in December 2022. I think the expanded scope of this entry creates a highly satisfying experience, even if the narrative volume dilutes some of the specific weight found in the smaller predecessor.

The studio has not provided a timeline for disclosing the contents of the bonus material.
