Insider Reveals Insomniac Games Plans for Marvel Games Universe

This September, Insomniac Games will release their next installment in Marvel Games universe—Marvel's Wolverine. The game is confirmed to exist in the same universe as Marvel’s Spider-Man titles, and it is the first of many upcoming projects that will expand this version of the superhero world.

As we know, the studio is also reportedly working on Marvel’s Venom spin-off, which is likely to have the same structure as Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, as Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales does to the original title, but also Marvel’s Spider-Man 3, which will be the final title in the character’s story. In his newest post on X social media, insider TCMF confirms Insomniac Games’ plans to develop their own Marvel Games universe and provides an update on which project could be next, as you can check out below:

• Multiple projects at Insomniac in the marvel universe;
• Wolverine will bring in a new character to the IMU this September;
• Venom is reported to still be in the works and could launch next fall;
• The next Spider-Man game Spider-Man 3 could launch in 28/29;
• After that, X-Men is reportedly up next;

As we can see, Marvel’s Venom is reportedly set to be released next autumn, while Marvel’s Spider-Man could be launched in 2028 or 2029. But what’s more exciting is that Insomniac Games is looking to develop a project related to X-Men.

Wolverine is one of the most famous X-Men members, and the game is now very likely to set up future X-Men title. We already know that other iconic Marvel characters, like Omega Red, Mystique, and Sentinel, will appear in Marvel’s Wolverine, but we can also expect more characters to appear, like Jean Gray, Cyclops, Professor X, and more. It’s not a guarantee that all of them will appear, but we are also likely to receive a lot of references or maybe even flashbacks from Wolverine’s point of view.
