Starfield PS5 Release Date & Details

Initially released back in 2013 for PC and Xbox Series X/S, Starfield, developed by Bethesda Game Studios, still hasn’t been released on PlayStation 5. Two years before, Microsoft acquired ZeniMax Media, the parent company of Bethesda Software, which prevented the release of Starfield on Sony's platform. Nevertheless, as was previously reported by various notable gaming insiders and other sources, Bethesda’s action RPG set in space might finally be coming to PlayStation 5 as early as next month.

Starfield PS5 Release

The first rumors of Starfield coming to PlayStation 5 appeared last month: PPE reported Starfield will release for PS5 on April 7 and added the game will include the long-awaited Starfield v.2.0 update, which will make a massive change to the game’s core and will be similar to the Cyberpunk 2077 v.2.0 update in terms of scale. While Bethesda boss Todd Howard denied the rumors about Starfield’s v.2.0 update, he confirmed the game will still continue to receive multiple updates. At the same time, reliable gaming insider shinobi602 also confirmed that the PS5 version of Starfield will be announced in March and released in April. The latest update comes from French portal Dealabs, where April 7 is mentioned as the release date for Starfield on PlayStation, with Standard and Premium edition prices revealed (€49.99 for standard, €69.99). According to the source, the pre-orders will become available this month, on March 17.

Starfield PS5 Details

As Starfield hasn’t been officially confirmed for PlayStation 5, there are no official details yet. According to previous rumors circulating about a massive v.2.0 update for the game, it will fix the problem with the loading screens and other updates aimed at improving the gameplay. The rumored PlayStation 5 version is very likely to get all the updates to present the best possible experience for PlayStation gamers. It should also be considered with the statement Bethesda made last August that the studio is looking to “make the travels in the game more rewarding.”

Starfield PS5 Announcement

At this moment, Bethesda Software hasn’t revealed anything about the PS5 version of Starfield and hasn’t confirmed the game as well. But considering how many rumors and insider reports we received over the last two months, the announcement is imminent and a matter of time. Especially if the report of Dealabs, which you can check out above, is right and pre-orders of Starfield on PS5 are starting on March 17, the announcement is pretty much possible this week.
