Microsoft Announced New Next-Gen Xbox Console—Project Helix
After recent rumors and speculations, Microsoft has confirmed the production of a new next-gen Xbox console. It is currently called Project Helix, and so far, it sounds really impressive.
The announcement came from a new Microsoft Gaming CEO, Asha Sharma, who replaced Phil Spencer after he left the company last month. She posted a message about Project Helix on her X social media page and revealed a lot of new information will be revealed next week at the Game Developers Conference. You can check out the post from Sharma below:
“Great start to the morning with Team Xbox, where we talked about our commitment to the return of Xbox including Project Helix, the code name for our next generation console.
Project Helix will lead in performance and play your Xbox and PC games. Looking forward to chatting about this more with partners and studios at my first GDC next week!”
Just like it was previously revealed by rumors, the new Xbox console will be a hybrid for both Xbox and PC games. As Asha Sharma mentioned, more details about Project Helix will be revealed soon.
It’s been a huge week for consoles, as Sony announced the company is moving off to release its exclusives on PC, and now Microsoft is making a statement.
