Naughty Dog Might Be Working on an Unannounced Multiplayer Video Game

Naughty Dog is currently confirmed to be working on a new IP—Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, announced back at The Game Awards 2024. But there might be another project developed by the studio.

As revealed by Tech4Gamers, with reference to Naughty Dog job listings, an unannounced multiplatform multiplayer title seems to be in development. The job posting titled “Senior Sound Designer” is looking to find a developer for crafting in-game sound effects, while the Bonus Skills section requires “Experience with multiplayer games” and “Experience implementing sounds on multiple game platforms”, as you can check below:

At this point, Naughty Dog hasn’t given any comments on a potential multiplayer multiplatform video game, so this report should be considered with a grain of salt. The studio is currently busy with Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, which currently doesn’t have a release date, as The Last of Us: Part 3 might be in development as well. It is also important to say Naughty Dog previously worked on a multiplayer project set in The Last of Us universe, but it was ultimately cancelled.
