The Witcher 4 Map Size Will Be the Same as In The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, But There Is a Catch
There is no doubt The Witcher 4 is one of the most anticipated upcoming video games; developed by CD Projekt RED, the game will continue the story of Ciri, and this time she will be a protagonist, not the fictional character.
The fans must be really exciting about The Witcher 4 story, gameplay or the graphics, as the game using Unreal Engine 5, but, perhaps, the most intriguing aspect is the open world. It was one of the best features in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and gamers are hopeful it will be, at least, at the same level of scale and details.
CD Projekt RED hasn’t shared any official details of The Witcher 4 open world yet; however, the X social media account WitcherIVnews revealed that the game’s map size will be similar to The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, though it is expected to be much deeper and more immersive. The developers are looking to create a more detailed open world than just make it big, as you can check below:
“The Witcher 4's map size will be roughly the same as The Witcher 3's, but deeper and more immersive.
CD Projekt RED's policy for The Witcher 4: quality over quantity. The focus is on a more detailed, meaningful world rather than unnecessarily expanding the map. #Witcher4 "
Let’s not forget this report is not an official confirmation from developers, and it should be considered with a grain of salt.
The Witcher 4 currently doesn’t have a release date and is confirmed for PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5.
