Obsidian Entertainment Is Not Working on The Outer Worlds 3

Led by Fallout creators Tim Cain and Leonard Boyarsky, The Outer Worlds franchise, developed by Obsidian Entertainment, started back in 2019, when the original game was released. Last year, The Outer Worlds 2 came out, and currently the studio has no plans to develop another game series ’title.

In the recent Bloomberg report, reliable gaming journalist Jason Schreier revealed Obsidian Entertainment is not looking to make another The Outer Worlds video game, as The Outer Worlds 2 and Avowed didn’t meet sales expectations. However, the reporter added the situation can potentially change in the future, as Obsidian currently has multiple projects in development.

Avowed was another RPG video game released by Obsidian Entertainment last year. Their next confirmed game is Grounded 2, sequel to 2022’s cooperative survival game, set to release for PC and Xbox Series X/S, with the release date remains unknown.
