Helldivers 2'S 'Siege Breakers' Warbond Arrives February 3
Arrowhead Game Studios announced the next Helldivers 2 Warbond, titled 'Siege Breakers', will be available to players on February 3. The new content is for players who need "something to smash through towering foes with impenetrable fortifications." The 'Siege Breakers' Warbond follows the recent release of the 'Into the Unjust: 5.0.2' patch, which introduced a new mission type and other updates.
The announcement came via a PlayStation blog post from Arrowhead's social media and community manager. Players can look forward to a redesigned version of the LAS-16 Trident, which now fires six beams instead of three. A new melee weapon, the CQC-20 Breaching Hammer, offers both direct smashing and an explosive charge option. For players who prefer ranged explosives, the GL-28 Belt-Fed Grenade Launcher allows for a continuous barrage of grenades. A new throwable, the G/SH-39 Shield, will also be available.
In addition to the new weaponry, the Warbond includes two new armor sets: the SA-8 Ram armor and the SA-7 Headfirst armor. Players can also customize their appearance with new banners, capes, and player titles. The 'Rags of the Fashionable' and 'Wedgeful Tricorn' banners and capes will be available, along with the 'Bunker Buster' player title. A new emote, 'Display of Brawn', and 'Churned Earth' skins for the shuttle, exo suit, and hellpod round out the cosmetic offerings.

The release of the 'Siege Breakers' Warbond comes shortly after the 'Into the Unjust: 5.0.2' patch, which brought its own set of updates. A new mission type called 'Commando' was introduced, sending Helldivers deep behind enemy lines with limited support. The patch also included the 'Redacted Regiment' Warbond and made significant updates to suppressed weapons. On Steam, Arrowhead stated that the patch was "deploying some important updates to suppressed weapons, allowing Helldivers to eliminate threats with reduced detection and tighter tactical control."

The developers also provided more context on the changes to suppressed weapons.
"Democracy doesn’t always need to shout. This patch is deploying some important updates to suppressed weapons, allowing Helldivers to eliminate threats with reduced detection and tighter tactical control. Expect quieter kills, cleaner engagements, and new opportunities for coordinated strikes before the enemy knows you’re there. Remember: stealth is a tool, not a substitute for overwhelming firepower. Use it wisely, Helldivers!"
