According to Xbox insider Idle Sloth, Star Wars Jedi 3 is expected to release in the first half of 2026. The title expected to be the biggest game of the franchise will have a darker tone and a new protagonist. More details from the insider you can check below:

“- A potential release in the first half of 2026;

- The game is expected to be significantly larger, featuring multiple new planets with unique biomes, advanced traversal systems, and environmental storytelling;

- It shifts from linear levels to expansive galactic hubs for a more immersive exploration experience. Narrative Tone: A darker, more mature story is anticipated, focusing on brutal consequences and high-stakes drama without lighter elements;

- The main antagonist involves a new faction with philosophical ties to the Force, diverging from traditional Empire-focused conflicts;

- Expanded Force abilities go beyond basic telekinesis, including environment manipulation and perception-altering powers;

- Combat becomes heavier and more reactive, with adaptive enemy AI that responds to player strategies, promoting varied tactics over repetitive combos;

- The 2026 release aligns with EA's patterns, Respawn's team growth, and feedback from Jedi: Survivor on pacing and mechanics;

- However, there's caution about potential changes due to fan expectations, corporate oversight, and EA's past issues with monetization (though microtransactions are unlikely here);”
