Everything Announced and Revealed at Xbox Developer Direct 2026

Xbox Developer Direct has come to an end, and 4 already announced games have received updates—including new gameplay trailers, release windows, and a bunch of new details. Below you can check everything that was announced and revealed during the latest Microsoft event.

Forza Horizon 6

Playground Studios has revealed a very first look at Forza Horizon 6 with a gameplay teaser. The series is now heading to Japan and is expected to become the biggest game in the franchise’s history, with the biggest urban area. At launch, the players will be able to use over 550 cars, and now it’s possible to customize garages and buy houses. Forza Horizon 6 releases on May 19 for PC and Xbox Series X/S, and later this year for PlayStation 5.

Beast of Reincarnation

Game Freak has presented a gameplay trailer for their upcoming video game Beast of Reincarnation. It’s an action RPG souls-like, set in the year 4026, in the post-apocalyptic version of Japan. As we saw in the gameplay trailer, in the Beast of Reincarnation, we play as a warrior with a wolf companion. The game will also feature epic boss fights, skill trees, gear customization, ranged and melee combat, etc. A release window is eyed for summer 2026, with the exact release date remains unknown.

Kiln

Perhaps the biggest surprise during Xbox Developer Direct was the announcement of Kiln, developed by Double Fine. Kiln is an online multiplayer video game, initially revealed back in 2017, as part of the Amnesia Fortnight event. You can create your own unique character from scratch, and the choice you make will have an impact on how your character plays during the online sessions. The game releases this spring, with no exact release date confirmed.

Fable

This is probably the main game during Xbox Developer Direct—the reboot of Fable, developed by Playground Games. The game was initially announced back in 2020, and the game is finally set to release this year, specifically, this fall. With a gameplay teaser, new details of Fable have been revealed. The game will have a huge character customization, a reputation system, the ability to enter every building, choices with consequences, etc.
