Double Fine Studio Revealed a Forgotten Video Game at Xbox Developer Direct
Back in 2017, Double Fine gaming studio, which is known for such titles as Psychonauts, Brutal Legends, and Broken Age, held another Amnesia Fortnight—an annual two-week event where new game ideas are being generated. That was the place where Kiln was born.
It was a multiplayer, team brawler with a focus on creating unique sculpted characters and supernatural beings. Since then, almost nothing has been revealed about this game, except for some leaked images a few years ago. But at Xbox Developer Direct, Double Fine officially announced the Kiln video game with the announcement trailer that you can watch below:
Just like it was initially planned, Kiln is a multiplayer title featuring creation and destruction. The players are creating their own ceramic pieces on a pottery wheel and then fighting with other creations in the arena. Given the opportunity, every battle must be really exciting and remarkable.
Kiln will release this spring on PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5, with the exact release date remaining unknown. Also, the game will have a closed beta soon.
