Beyond Good and Evil 2 Is Still In Development at Ubisoft, Despite Recent Changes

Ubisoft has announced some big changes in their newest press release, including the delaying of 7 new projects, with Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced likely to be one of them, as well as the cancellation of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time remake and 5 more unannounced video games.

However, a long-awaited Ubisoft title, Beyond Good and Evil 2, surprisingly is still in development, though the game’s status currently remains unknown. The sequel to 2003’s action-adventure was initially announced back in 2008, before it was reintroduced at E3 2017. Since then, we haven’t heard much about the title; last year it was revealed Ubisoft is looking for a technical sound designer for Beyond Good and Evil 2.

Beyond Good and Evil 2 currently doesn’t have release platforms and a release date. Initially, the game was supposed to be released on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, but due to long and problematic development, the game’s version for past generation of consoles might be abandoned, and instead it could be released at PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
