Ubisoft Cancelled Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake

After months of expectations, the fate of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake is finally unveiled—and the fans are not happy with that.

Ubisoft has announced the cancellation of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake due to the company’s restructuring. The game was initially announced back in 2020, with the release date reportedly eyed for this January; however, the studio made a decision to cancel the project and also five unannounced titles, including one mobile game.

This is definitely a really radical step by French developers, and according to Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier, Ubisoft is also delaying 7 upcoming video games as part of its larger restructuring. One of these projects is rumored to be the remake of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, which was reportedly set to release before March 31 but now has been postponed.
