Insider Denied Resident Evil 5 Remake Announcement Rumors
Recently, Resident Evil 5 actress Karen Dyer might have teased the announcement of the game’s remake when she responded to the fans on X social media; they should stay tuned as “a few fun things lined up for March.” And she also used multiple Resident Evil hashtags.
Considering Dyer has voiced Sheva Alomar in Resident Evil 5, gamers were hopeful the game could receive a remake announcement very soon, but, unfortunately, it doesn’t seem to happen. At least, according to reliable Resident Evil insider AestheticGamer, aka Dusk Golem, Capcom isn’t planning to reveal Resident Evil 5 Remake this year, but instead the remake of Resident Evil Code: Veronica will be announced later in 2026. Don’t forget the insider’s information is not confirmed by Capcom and should be considered with a grain of salt.
“No, there is NOT a Resident Evil 5 Remake that's going to be announced this year. Instead, later this year a RE Remake that starts with "(C)" & ends "(ode Veronica)" is going to be announced, I promise you.
Her thing is something else not a remake of RE5.”

The next Resident Evil game, Resident Evil Requiem, will release on February 27 for PC, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch 2.
