FromSoftware Boss Reveals Why Bloodborne Sequel Hasn’t Been Released
The fans have been speculating for a while why Bloodborne, one of the best souls-like games and one of the best PlayStation exclusives, hasn’t received a sequel yet. And FromSoftware president Hidetaka Miyazaki reveals the main reason, related to the original video game.
In the interview with GamesRadar, Miyazaki hinted at the reason why Bloodborne 2 hasn’t been released after the success of its predecessor: it’s his relation to the game, as he calls it special, as you can check below:
“Bloodborne is a special game for me. It was probably the most challenging development cycle we've had from a studio perspective. I've imparted a lot of my own ideas into this game. Whether it be the story, the world-building component, or even the game mechanics and the game systems that are in place. Bloodborne is perhaps the strongest reflection of my type of flavoring of a game that one can experience."
It looks like the way Hidetaka Miyazaki speaks of Bloodborne may be the reason not only why a sequel is not happening, but also a remake or remaster.
