Ubisoft Fires 55 Employees From Massive Entertainment and Ubisoft Stockholm
Ubisoft has announced a new wave of layoffs. At this time, 55 employees from Massive Entertainment (Star Wars Outlaws, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, The Division duology) and Ubisoft Stockholm.
According to GamesIndustry, these job losses are not related to performance issues, and “the long-term direction for Ubisoft remains unchanged.” And as proof, according to the executive producer of Tom Clancy’s The Division franchise, The Division 3 is in active development, as the original game could receive a definitive edition very soon as well.

Sources are also claiming Ubisoft is working on an unannounced innovative tech project that will use the Snowdrop game engine.
It’s important to say this is the second Ubisoft layoff this year, as last week Ubisoft Halifax was closed, and 71 workers reportedly lost their jobs.
