Bethesda Could Announce New Wolfenstein Video Game Soon
This year, Bethesda is celebrating its 40th anniversary; therefore, we might expect some big announcements happening during the year. It was recently revealed id Software might announce a new Quake or Hexen video game at upcoming QuakeCon or Xbox Showcase events, but not only this, as the new Wolfenstein video game could be on the way.
At least, the same source who suggested a new Quake or Hexen could be announced soon, Jez Corden from Windows Central, also reveals he heard Wolfenstein 3 is “on Bethesda’s cards,” and it could be released almost simultaneously with a TV show, which was announced last June and is in development for Amazon.
Of course, nothing has been confirmed by Bethesda yet, but last September, the director of MachineGames, Jerk Gustaffson, the studio responsible for Wolfenstein: The New Order and Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, revealed they planned to make a trilogy when the franchise was rebooted in 2014. After this, we can only say that the announcement of a new Wolfenstein video game is a question of time.
