Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, released last year, has been one of the best RPGs of the past 2025, and the gamers were absolutely shocked it didn’t win the Best RPG award during The Game Awards 2025 ceremony.

The game has plenty of features that make it a quality RPG product, like a well-written story, realistic gameplay, and a huge open world. Speaking of gameplay, it has a lot of good stuff for RPG gamers, including deeper immersion, an improved dialogue system, and a crime system with serious consequences. But there is one feature that didn’t make it to the final cut of the game.

According to the executive producer of Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, Martin Klima, who recently spoke with PC Gamer, initially the game included a feature where Henry of Skalitz, the main character, could gain and lose weight depending on how much food he was eating—similar to how CJ from Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas could change its weight. Also, it would have had consequences about the clothing he wears. After all, this feature was cut, as you can check his world below:

“Some NPCs would be fat and some would be thin, and then the clothing they wear would be either too large or too small for you. If players found a piece of clothing or armor that was too big for them, they would be able to eat a bunch of food to grow in size. When you eat, basically, you would get fatter, and then this clothing you have in your inventory suddenly will fit you, while the clothing you had previously wouldn't fit you, because now you're too fat for it. Or you could go on a diet and do the same process in reverse. It was just really too bizarre and too much work and not really that much fun. We felt that the clothing system is quite complex as it is, and it really doesn't need another layer of complexity."
