PlayStation Plus January 2026 Monthly Games Bring Racing, Platforming, And Sandbox Play
Sony has confirmed the January 2026 monthly lineup for playstation plus, opening the year with a racing headliner and two genre-spanning additions. Need for Speed Unbound, Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed, and Core Keeper will be available to subscribers across PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. All three titles can be claimed starting January 6 and remain available through February 2.
The announcement was published via PlayStation.Blog on December 31. Sony also reminded members that December’s monthly titles remain claimable until January 5. Those games include Lego Horizon Adventures, Killing Floor 3, The Outlast Trials, Synduality Echo of Ada, and Neon White. Once added to a library, monthly games remain accessible as long as an active subscription is maintained.
Need for Speed Unbound anchors the January offering and arrives on PlayStation 5. Released in 2022, it continues the series’ focus on open-city street racing while introducing a stylized animated visual layer. The game separates its single-player and multiplayer progression, with both built around escaping police pressure and advancing through weekly qualifiers toward the final championship event known as The Grand.
Included in PlayStation Plus for January 2026:
- Need for Speed Unbound
- Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed
- Core Keeper
Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed launches on both PS4 and PS5. The title is a full remake of the 2010 Wii exclusive, rebuilt for modern platforms. Players control Mickey Mouse in the Wasteland, a fractured world inhabited by abandoned Disney characters and locations. The remake retains the original’s paint-and-thinner mechanics while updating visuals, controls, and performance. Oswald the Lucky Rabbit plays a central role, reflecting his historical significance as Walt Disney’s first major character.

In his preview on IGN, Adam Bankhurst noted the scope of the remake’s overhaul.
“what impressed me the most about Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed is how much it looks and, perhaps most importantly, feels like a 2024 game.”— Adam Bankhurst, IGN
Rounding out the lineup is Core Keeper, available on PS4 and PS5. The game supports one to eight players and blends mining, base-building, and exploration in a procedurally expanding underground world. Its inclusion arrives just ahead of a major content drop. The Void & Voltage update launches January 28, adding the Breaker’s Reach biome, a new boss named S.A.H.A.B.A.R., expanded automation systems, and additional progression content.
Need for Speed Unbound previously earned measured praise for its presentation.
“It hasn’t strayed very far from the fundamentals of 2019’s Heat, but its bold new animated style impresses.”— Adam Bankhurst, IGN
