Nitrome Brings Classic Flash Games Back with the New Nitrome Classics Series

Nitrome Limited has announced a new initiative called Nitrome Classics, a series focused on bringing some of the studio’s most beloved Flash-era games to modern platforms, including mobile devices, PC, and Nintendo Switch. The series will begin with Twin Shot Deluxe, set to launch on Android, iOS, PC, and Switch in early 2026, followed later by Silly Sausage and Skywire.

The Nitrome Classics series aims to modernize classic titles rather than simply port them. These revamped versions feature improved visuals, higher frame rates, full-screen support, and enhanced soundtracks, while still preserving the charm that defined the original games during the Flash era.

Twin Shot Deluxe serves as the flagship release and reimagines the original arcade platform shooter with expanded content and modern features. The game includes more than 200 new levels spread across four distinct worlds, each featuring unique enemies, bosses, and gameplay challenges. Players can experience the game solo or team up with friends in local co-op.

The remaster also introduces a new Atlantis-themed world, complete with original bosses and collectible headgear that grants special abilities. Additional content includes familiar character skins, classic game modes such as Tag and Fart, as well as extra challenges and unlockables.

Visually, the upgrade to 60 frames per second delivers smoother gameplay, while redesigned characters and environments enhance the overall presentation without losing the series’ signature style.

Twin Shot Deluxe will be the first release under the Nitrome Classics banner in early 2026. Silly Sausage and Skywire are planned to arrive later as part of the same collection, with more details expected in future announcements.
