He revealed the cryptic statue located somewhere in the desert, and it got to the point that some people have found this location in real life. The gamers are starting to speculate which game it could be; among the most discussed, new God of War set in Egypt, expansion to Diablo 4, Lords of the Fallen 2, The Elder Scrolls VI, DLC to Doom: The Dark Ages have been mentioned but the statue is not related to any of them. And now, we have another attempt to find out this mystery project, and so far, it seems quite logical.

According to AestheticGamer aka Dusk Golem, this could be the game some player may have never heard of – Altered Beast. The original game was released back in 1988 for arcades; it’s a beat ’em up set in Ancient Greece, where the main character, Roman centurion, is trying to save his daughter Athena from the demon called Neff. The latest title also called Altered Beast was released in 2005 for PlayStation 2; the game was set in a modern setting unlike all previous games and protagonist called Luke Coster was a Genome-Cyborg who lost his memory after a helicopter crash and was trying to find the truth about his past.

"I cannot believe the more I sit on this & see online guesses & their evidence, the more I'm buying this might be an Altered Beast thing from SEGA"

Dusk Golem offers a proof with photo-comparison from previous games and the statue from Geoff Keighley’s teaser is actually a new Altered Beast video game and you can see it below:

"There's been a few comparisons with Altered Beasts made, but one such one"

If it’s a really new Altered Beast game, some old school fans will definitely be happy about this announcement. Considering the latest game was a PlayStation 2 exclusive, it’s possible the game will be a PlayStation 5 exclusive as well. Recently, Jason Schreier from Bloomberg says that the game Geoff Keighley is teasing will make fans excited and this title is a really “good one”.
