The Witcher 4 Won't Be at The Game Awards 2025
The Witcher 4 is one of the most anticipated video games despite not having a release date. CD Project RED are actively working on the newest addition to The Witcher franchise where we will see a new protagonist but familiar face from The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Ciri.
At last year's The Game Awards ceremony, developers revealed a cinematic trailer for The Witcher 4 that made the fans really excited. The Game Awards 2025 is about to happen very soon (December 11) and gamers are wondering are we going to see any new footage of fourth instalment. Considering The Witcher 4 is nominated for "Most Anticipated Game" category, it's likely to be the only place where the game will be at this year's event.
CD Project RED CEO Michal Nowakowski decided to dot the i's and cross the t's about The Witcher 4 presence at The Game Awards 2025. Full quote you can see below:
"I am very happy to see The Witcher 4 nominated in the Most Anticipated Game category at The Game Awards. Thanks to everyone who has already voted - your support means a lot of to us. We won't be bringing any new content to TGA this year, but we're, as always, excited to watch the show and celebrate this amazing industry's great night alongside all of you"
It seems like we won't see new trailer of The Witcher 4 anytime soon, as CD Project RED are currently focusing on development, rather show how the game looks like.
The Witcher 4 currently doesn't have a release date, but it's been speculated the game will release in 2027 for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
